SITE WORK is run by PIMAS, a sole proprietorship of Lunavath Jitender, Warangal, Telangana, India ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data the SITE WORK apps collect, why, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
It covers the SITE WORK customer app, the SITE WORK Partner app for workers, and our field officers' app. If anything here is unclear, write to the Grievance Officer at the end of this page.
1. What SITE WORK does
SITE WORK connects people who need daily-wage work done — construction, painting, plumbing, loading and similar — with workers nearby who do that work. We introduce the two sides and help them keep the booking. We do not employ the workers, and we do not collect or hold their wages.
2. What we collect from customers
- Your name, mobile number, email address, date of birth, state and pincode.
- Your photo, so a worker arriving at a site knows who to meet.
- The addresses of your work sites and their exact map location, which you choose or capture yourself.
- Photos of the site that you choose to add to a booking.
- Your bookings: the work, the dates, the shift, the number of workers, the description, and what happened on each day.
- What you tell us you paid each worker, the payment method, and any UPI reference number you enter.
- The ratings you give workers.
- Whether you agreed to receive offers from us, and the version of these terms you accepted.
3. What we collect from workers
- Your name, mobile number, gender, date of birth, email address if you give one, and home address with pincode.
- Your photo, taken when you register.
- The trades you work in, your experience, and details a trade needs — for example a vehicle number for machine work.
- Your identity document: the type, the last four digits of its number, and a one-way fingerprint of the number used only to stop duplicate accounts. We do not keep the full ID number.
- Your bank account, IFSC and account holder name, so wages can one day be paid to you directly. The account number is stored encrypted and is never shown back in full, not even to you — only its last four digits.
- The places you choose to look for work from, and the dates you say you are free.
- Your location when you check in to a job and when you finish it, and the accuracy of that location.
- The jobs you take, arrive at and finish, the ratings customers give you, and your earnings as customers record them.
4. What we collect from everyone
- Your precise location while you use the app — to show services near you, to match customers and workers, and to confirm a worker is actually at the site when he checks in. We do not track your location when the app is closed.
- A code sent to your WhatsApp, to confirm the mobile number is yours.
- A notification token for your phone, so we can tell you about your bookings.
- Technical records: the internet address a request came from, the time, and — for check-ins — an identifier for the phone, used only to stop one phone checking in several people.
- If the app crashes, a crash report describing what went wrong in the app. It does not include your messages or photos.
5. Why we use it
We use your data only to run SITE WORK:
- to create your account and confirm your number;
- to show services and workers available near a site, and to match bookings with workers;
- to let the two people on a booking reach each other;
- to record attendance, the end of each work day, and what was paid;
- to show ratings, so good workers and fair customers are recognised;
- to prevent fraud — fake check-ins, duplicate accounts, repeated late cancellations — and to keep people safe;
- to send you messages about your bookings and your account;
- to send you offers and news, but only if you ticked the box to receive them. You can stop them at any time.
We do not sell your data. We do not show you advertising from other companies, and we do not use your data to build a profile for anyone else.
6. Who else sees it
The other person on a booking sees what they need, when they need it:
- Before a worker accepts a job, he sees the customer's first name, the area and the distance — never the exact address or the phone number.
- Once he accepts, he sees the full site address, the landmark and the customer's number.
- The customer sees each accepted worker's name, photo, age, experience level, trade and rating. Workers' phone numbers become visible to the customer from midnight on the day of the work.
- Ratings are shown without saying which customer gave them.
We use a small number of companies to run the service. They handle data only on our instructions:
- Supabase — stores our database and the photos, on its cloud servers.
- Fly.io — runs our server.
- Meta (WhatsApp) — delivers the sign-in code when you message us on WhatsApp.
- Expo and Google — deliver notifications to your phone.
- Sentry — receives crash reports from the apps.
- Google Play — distributes the apps.
Some of these companies keep data on servers outside India. We use them only for the purposes above.
We will share data with the police, a court or a government authority only when the law requires it.
7. How long we keep it
- Site photos are deleted automatically 90 days after the work date.
- Your account data is kept while your account is open.
- When you delete your account, your name, email, photo and contact details are removed and your bookings stay only as anonymous records, so the workers who worked for you keep their history.
- Records of bookings and payments that the law requires us to keep — for tax and accounting — are kept for as long as that law requires, which can be up to eight years.
- Fraud records are kept for as long as they are needed to stop the same thing happening again.
8. How we protect it
- Everything between your phone and our server travels encrypted.
- Bank account numbers are encrypted when stored, and only the last four digits are ever sent to an app.
- Identity numbers are not stored in full.
- Only the people on a booking can see its details, and the apps cannot read our database directly — every request goes through our server, which checks who is asking.
- Staff access to the admin console needs a login and is recorded.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
9. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete — much of it you can change yourself in the app;
- ask us to delete your data — customers and workers can both delete their account from Profile, then Account, in the app. Without the app, see the page "Delete your SITE WORK account" at /legal/delete-account on our website;
- withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing it means we can no longer run your account, and it does not undo anything done before;
- name someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or cannot act yourself;
- complain to our Grievance Officer, and if you are not satisfied with the answer, to the Data Protection Board of India.
We will reply within 30 days.
10. Children
SITE WORK is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use either app, and worker registration checks your date of birth. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we find we have, we delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
When this policy changes in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent again. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
